Update 0.6 is now live!
Hey everyone,
it's been a while since the last update. This time you'll get the biggest update so far!
Changelog:
- Added an enemy which will appear after 45 seconds of playing and decrease the score by 5 when hit with the ball. The enemy will try to protect the northern wall.
- Added a shield to the northern wall which will appear along with the enemy. While the shield is up you'll just get the normal amount of score points by hitting the northern wall. If the shield is down the score points will be tripled. Every hit to the northern wall will remove 1 shield. The shield regenerates by itself.
- Added player health to the game. You start with 3 health points. There'll be a game over when all 3 health points are lost.
- New Item: Skull. The enemy starts shooting skulls at you, as long as the shield is down. Be careful. Getting hit by a skull will decrease your health by one.
- New Item: Health Potion. The health potion appears randomly, when your health is not at its maximum. A potion restores 1 health point. Try to hit it with the ball and touch it with your paddle when it falls.
- The western and eastern wall don't decrease your score anymore when being hit by the ball.
- Fixed a bug where the northern and southern wall didn't change color as the should.
- Improved ball movement. Massive slowdowns and speedups below/above a certain value have been taken care of. The movement speed of the ball will still vary, but it shouldn't be as unpredictable as before. Further improvements will follow in later updates (like getting rid of strange direction changes).
- The player position has been adjusted so the ball can't roll under it.
- The "How To Play"-section of the starting screen has been updated so you'll find all the information you need.
